Treat this as a coverage map. A large row deserves attention, but its size cannot tell you whether you understand it. A smaller row can also contain your biggest gap.
How do you turn the map into useful practice?
Create three columns beside each topic: recent evidence, what went wrong, and next exercise. Avoid filling the first column with “good” or “bad.” Record something you can inspect later.

The next exercise should address the recorded problem. More questions alone will not tell you whether you repaired the missing reasoning. Use module practice and mixed mocks for different purposes: isolate a gap, then see whether you can recognize it when topics are mixed.
Use a claim-and-evidence note for each difficult answer
On a fresh page, write the conclusion you chose. Under it, separate three things:
Given: Information the practice problem actually supplies.
Assumed: Information you added because it felt familiar.
Needed: Information that would help distinguish two competing explanations.
For a classroom case, imagine the supplied description says a symptom occurs intermittently. Your explanation quietly changes that to “always.” You have changed the evidence before reasoning about it. Circle that word and rewrite the conclusion using only the stated conditions.
This is a reading exercise, not a vehicle diagnosis. Its purpose is to make unsupported assumptions visible. It also works when you accidentally substitute a familiar model, component arrangement or operating condition for the one described in a question.

Try one focused 25-minute session
Spend five minutes choosing one gap from your notebook. Use ten minutes for a small practice set or a single worked classroom problem. Spend seven minutes writing the claim-and-evidence note and checking the explanation against your learning material. Use the final three minutes to record what you will attempt again later.
That adds up to 25 minutes; it is a suggested study block, not an official exam pace. If the explanation still depends on guessing, make the next session narrower. Ask your instructor about the specific unresolved step rather than requesting a review of an entire system.
Common preparation questions
Should I ignore topics I rarely see at work?
Keep them on your checklist. Familiarity with a workplace routine is useful evidence of experience, but your study map should also show unfamiliar material. Choose an instructor-supported lesson or classroom example for those gaps and record what remains unclear.
Does a strong practice score mean I am ready?
A score is one signal. Also check whether you can explain unfamiliar wording, identify the requested result and account for a previously wrong answer without memorizing its position. Repeating a familiar set can hide those gaps.
